The new year brings with it a sneak peek at our newest product – the Predictive Diagnostics tool. We have to say we’re really pretty darned excited about it here at LogicNets HQ.

We promise we’ll have more details about it on the website soon, but meanwhile we hope you’ll enjoy the demo video.

LogicNets - now with added Google+

Better late than never? Facebook has allowed businesses to set up shop in their social media-verse for quite some time. While we’re still not convinced about the staying power of Google’s +1 concept, the Mountain View behemoth’s recent move to allow businesses to create their own branded Google+ page is a step in the right direction, as they look to play catch up with the king of Friending and Liking.

So without further ado, here is the new LogicNets’ Google+ page. Add us to your circles and post about us as you see fit. Let’s see if Google’s social media efforts will be a long-term positive for everyone.

LogicNets AI - boldly going where no man has gone before

While we continue to work hard on putting everything in place for our next big announcement, we stumbled upon an old-but-revamped piece of news from our friends at NASA, who have clearly been doing some spring cleaning on their website (we like!)

The article covers LogicNets’ work with NASA on development of artificial intelligence for robotic systems in planetary exploration. We like to think we were one step ahead of IBM’s Watson. I mean sure he’s smart, but can he trundle happily across the surface of Mars analyzing his surroundings?  [Full Article]

In case you were wondering why we’ve been quiet these past few weeks, it’s because we misplaced the little piece of paper with all our passwords on it.

OK, not really. We’ve actually been very hard at work getting a couple of new products ready for beta release, and the first of those is now ready to be pushed out the door: LogicNets Mobile.

Yup, you can now run LogicNets apps on your iPhone or Android device [Edit: and iPad too, of course!]. We’ll be providing more details as we continue to test the beta version with select customers, so stay tuned.

We also hope to have news on another very exciting product release in the coming days, so don’t change that channel!

We recently updated LogicNets’ listing on CNET’s famed Download.com site. And no, you can’t suddenly download LogicNets. (Not yet at least.) LogicNets is listed under Webware.

There are already a couple of brand, spanking new user reviews of LogicNets for your reading pleasure – both very positive we might add – so you’re encouraged to check them out! We’d love you to add your own review, or to voice your approval (or disapproval, unlikely…) for those existing reviews, which we think are well thought out and extremely helpful.

Did you know we have our own YouTube channel? It features all our product demo videos (four currently, more coming soon) in one place.

You’ll notice we’ve added the YouTube icon to the footer nav bar, keeping good company alongside the usual suspects — LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google +1 and of course WordPress.

Sorry that got a little meta, referring to the WordPress icon that’s on our website in a blog post published on WordPress that feeds via RSS onto our website’s homepage.

SALT's Interactive Technologies Conference

LogicNets CEO Jelle Ferwerda will be speaking at SALT’s Washington Interactive Technologies Conference in Reston tomorrow (8/17/2011) from 11:15-noon.

He’ll discuss how LogicNets can help businesses with their Knowledge Management, especially in retaining and disseminating the expertise of a company’s most valuable employees.

Let us know if you plan to attend, or, if you’re reading this after the fact, what you thought of the presentation and of the conference as a whole!

If the actual Google +1 icon on your website is this big, you may be a little desperate for attention.

We’re not really sure if it’s a verb yet, but if Google’s new +1 feature gains enough traction, it seems likely to enter the vernacular pretty quickly, just as “friending” someone on FaceBook did a couple of years ago.

We’ve jumped on the bandwagon and added +1 buttons at the top and bottom of every page of our website. So to use Google’s marketing language, click the +1 button if, while browsing the LogicNets website, you think to yourself, “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.” You can +1 the home page, and/or individual pages on the site – whatever floats your boat.

After you click the +1 button, if you haven’t already done so, you will need to set up a public Google profile. Of course you may be philosophically opposed to the idea, so we completely understand if your involvement with Google’s +1 experiment ends right there.

But we hope that, like us, you find it intriguing enough to sign up, knowing that sometimes it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for when someone you know already found it. That’s the idea behind +1, and we’re all about making life easier.

To find the link for ERGO on the website, navigate to Applications –> Health & Safety. For Diabetes Pre-Op Management  go to Applications –> Troubleshooting. Then just look for the obnoxiously obvious link on each of those pages.
